This is my poster on Creating Word Problems. We had to create a problem and solve it by using the strategy we recently learnt to use. I created this with my classmate Samantha.

Fast Factors: 8 Times tables
This is a screenshot from Fast Factors. I completed the 8 times tables, because I think I need to work on this more. If I continue with practising these times tables, I'm pretty sure I'll be a pro in no time.

Online Division Games
This is screenshots of some of the activites I completed when we were learning about Division. I think this is a great game and others should really play this if they are struggling in division.
Home Learning: Pay it forward
Home Learning
Last night, as part of our home learning we were asked to do something with or something for another person. I choose to help make dinner for my family. My mum really enjoyed the help since we had a family friend from overseas visiting.

How to use Speech Marks
This is a collaborative DLO that Samantha, John and I created to show people how to use speech marks. We included examples that are easy to understand and simple rules that need to be followed in order to use speech marks. We used PowToon to produce this presentation.

Direct Speech `
“Hey Fine, have you heard about the debate on whether New Zealand should provide breakfasts in schools?” Samantha asked.
“Of course. It’s going to be a breakthrough for the New Zealand education statistics! This means they’ll be more focused!” Replied Fine.
“But why would I want to pay for the food of other children? They’re not my responsibility” exclaimed Samantha.
“HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WENT TO SCHOOL HUNGRY EVERYDAY?! It’s not their parents faults that they can’t afford breakfast for their children!” Screamed Fine.
“WOW! I never thought about it like that! You've changed my whole perspective! Just searched it up now, I never knew 15% of New Zealand children go to school hungry!” Samantha responded.
We tried to use the information in our ifake text to help us write a conversation between two people. Our focus today was to correctly punctuate the dialogue. We had to include speech marks to show what was being said, begin a new line to show that a new person is speaking and use the correct punctuation . , ! ? to show how the words were said (set the mood).
Should NZ provide breakfasts in schools?
This is my ifake test that shows a conversation between two people. One person is persuading the other to join their opinion. We are learning to show that we understand how to use/write a persuasive text.
