Junior playground opening. By Fine
This is a picasa slide show of when the junior playground was opened. Pakuranga ROTARY came to our school at 3:00. We stayed after school to see the opening ceremony of the junior playground. Our schools junior playground was proudly brought and paid for by the Pakuranga Rotary group. There were 2 bouncy castles that all the little children were playing on. The junior kapa haka performed. They were awesome. At the end we got to have some sausage sizzles if we sat up really nice. It was really yummy.

My recount on The Red Poppy.By Fine
I am sorry I did not finish the recount.
The Red Poppy.
It was a dark windy night. Soldiers were marching to the trenches. Its 5:30 we were all waiting in the trenches 10 minutes have gone past and the battlefield is quiet. 6:20 gunshots are fired. We get are ladders ready.
Finally at 6:30 the battle has STARTED!!. We charge to fight. I see poppies and dive down for cover. I get shot in my arm and fall into a shell hole.
I try to find a way out but can’t. I see someone trapped inside here too. I squint my eyes and see that he is a GERMAN!. I knew I was going to die.
He was going to pull something out of his jacket, what was it?. Was it a gun. No it was bandages. He came closer and handed it to me.
I think he wants to be friends.”My name is Karl” he said to me. “My name is Jim” I replied.

Reflecting on The Red Poppy. By Fine
Today Mrs Eeles read The Red Poppy to us. It was based in WW1 about soldier called Jim. Jim went out to war and had been injured. He was also Trapped in a place with poppies and with a German soldier. He thought he was going to die but Karl the German soldier was injured too. So they didn't attack each other instead they became friends. Nipper the messenger dog came to the rescue. He left a paper and a poppy in his leather patch. Nipper quickly ran to find help. He did and in the end Karl was injured the most. We to did a freeze frame of every scene. I really can't imagine all that drama in one day. Being injured and trapped with your enemy. Please leave comments.

This is My Anzac Comic Life War Poster. By Fine
Hi my name is Fine and this is my ANZAC Comic Life War Poster. I worked with my classmate partner Samantha. For the whole term we have been learning about different kinds of wars like : WW1, WW2, Treaty of Waitaingi and etc. Samantha and I had to put down all sorts of information, put it onto a Comic Life Poster and decorate it. We were really happy with the end results and we hope you like it too. If you like it too copy and paste this link to see more posters : http://creativevoicepbs.blogspot.co.nz/ or leave some comments. Thank you.

Critiquing somebody else's Artwork. By Fine
Reviewing Somebody Else’s Artwork
Have a look at the artwork’s in classroom.
Choose one which is your favourite to critique.
Please be honest, don’t just choose your best friend’s for friendship sake, choose someone’s artwork that shows quality, contrast, boldness and originality
Whose artwork do you like the most?
I like San Tat’s the most.
Why did you choose this person’s artwork?
Because his artwork looks like him and he used contrasting colours.
What would you do next time to ensure your artwork is just as good?
I think I would have an up close photo.
If you were going to give this person a rating out of ten what would you give it and why?
a 10 / 10 because his artwork looks like him, there are no smudges, the colours are contrasting colours and he has dyed inside the lines.

My Andy Warhol artwork. By Fine.
This is my Andy Warhol artwork. For the past 2 weeks we have been learning about Andy Warhol in artwork. We had to take a picture, trace the picture onto a piece of paper, Outline it with a vivid and finally dab a variety of dyes onto your artwork. Then you have to cut all of the 4 papers evenly and mount it onto a black piece of cardboard to give that colourful look. I hope you like my artwork and leave comments too. Thank You.

My War Timeline. By Fine
This is my War Timeline. This week and last week Miss Paton told us that we had to make a War Timeline. My War Timeline is based on ANZAC. It shows from when the ANZAC war started to when it ended. I hope you learn more from my War Timeline and leave comments. Thank You.
My reflection on my artwork.
Reflecting on my Andy Warhol themed portrait
1. Are you pleased with your Andy Warhol themed portrait? why / why not?
Yes I am because I put a lot of effort into my artwork.
2. What did you find easy when you created your portrait?
I found tracing my picture with vivid easy because I knew where to trace.
3. What part did you find tricky when you were creating your portrait? -think about tracing round your face, outlining your face using a black marker pen, dabbing areas using the dye, dying the background.
I found tracing my face with a pencil onto my paper hard because I had to go really hard and my pencil broke a number of times.
4. Who / What helped you when you were creating your portrait?
Miss Paton helped me because she showed me the steps to make an Andy Warhol artwork.
5. What would you do differently next time? Think about: tracing around your face, features on your face, dabbing the dye colours, colour choice, photograph, time management skills.
I would choose my colours differently because I wanted a variety of colours.
6. What frustrated you when you created your Andy Warhol themed artwork?
I think what frustrated me was dabbing my artwork with a cotton bud and making no smudges. I had to dab within the lines and had to wait for each segment to be dried thoroughly before I could apply the next colour.

Dance.
This week in dance we had to act like we were in the story of sleeping Beauty. My partner was Angel. Angel and I had to become Malecifent and Prince Philip. I was Malecifent and Angel was Prince Philip. At the end the whole classroom had to get into a circle and show there work.
Dance.
This is what room 5 did for dance this week. We all were given a letter. Angel was A, I was B , Caitlin was C and Yvette was D. A (Angel) had to do an open pose then B (me) had to go through, under or around and it kept on going.
