My report on Baron Pierre de Coubertin By Fine

My Baron Pierre de Coubertin Report
Introduction:
Baron Pierre de Coubertin revived the Ancient Olympic games into the Modern Olympic games. He had a passion for sports ever since.

Baron Pierre de Coubertin was born the 1st of January 1863. Little Baron grew up in a very rich family, being the fourth born person in the family. He also didn’t get along with his parents that well. His father was an artist and his paintings were displayed and on sale at Parisian Salons.

Baron went to law school but dropped out after one year. He went to another department. There he learnt about science and politics.

In 1883 he observed education systems in England. In 1880 he took part in the school sport competitions in Paris. He also formed a committee designed to be responsible for physical education in schools.

Baron went to England and met a fellow called William Penny Brookes. William started the Much Wenlock Olympian Games. If you didn’t already know it started in England .

Between 1873 and 1881 he studied the Ancient Olympics. In 1892 he organized a conference for a possibility of renewing the Olympics. In 1892 he started a conference again in presenting his knowledge and ideas on the history of sport. He also shared in the conference visions of reviving the Olympic Games.

Baron started a family of his own,  but sadly they didn’t turn out well. His son became retarded after being in the sun too long and his daughter became very depressed and never married. Marie ( wife ) and Baron blamed each other for their children. They also brought up their nephews and loved them more like they were their real children, but they died in the World War 1.

Baron was the president of the International Olympic Committee but then  became the 2nd president of the International Olympic Committee. Baron put more money into the committee than others, so when he died his family struggled with money. Baron thought women should not compete at the Olympic games. That’s where everyone thought wrong. He then was no longer the 2nd president, even though he put in so much money into the committee.

Baron died when walking through a park. Baron’s heart was taken. His heart was buried at the Olympic stadium in Athens. The rest of his body was buried in back in France.

Baron will always be remembered for giving people more of a chance to be seen. He is a person that is very well known. He has made an unbelievable achievement. He is a very special man and will not be forgotten.
